Join us for the Midwest Fireworks Festival on September 4th - 6th, 2025, at the Mentone Indiana Airport-C92. This is an amazing opportunity for firework enthusiasts and their families alike to enjoy the vibrant hobby of pyrotechnics. With classes, demonstrations, on-site manufacturing, firework displays, open shooting, vending, there is something for every kind of pyro to enjoy.

For those looking to extend their festival experience, camping hookups will be available, making it easy to stay close to the action and enjoy all that the festival has to offer.

Activities and events

Open shooting

An absolute must have at every firework event. Bring fireworks in, Purchase them from our vendors, or build them on-site and light them. Being in the club means you get to light them as well, not just watch them.

On-site manufacturing

Are you a skilled builder looking for a convenient place to build at? MFF is the perfect place to do that. You can build and shoot on-site at a safe location with many other experienced builders to work with.

Cake for cakes raffle

Bring either a 200g or 500g cake and add it to the respective table. Each cake you add to the pile gets you a raffle ticket for a chance to win the whole lot! There will be two drawings. One for the 200g table and another for the 500g table

Black powder seminar

Black powder is the foundation of all fireworks. If you wish to learn how to make your own fireworks, then this class lead by one of our clubs talented members is a must have!

Club Auction

Bid on some awesome donations from our vendors. Great deals are to be had and all proceeds go to help fund the MFF.

50/50 raffle

A HPAA classic. $5 gets you a ticket and each ticket is a chance to win the pot. The pot will be split between the winner and the club.

Member built showcase

During the member built showcase we take a moment to admire fireworks that have been built by our members. Fireworks will be shot exhibition style with a description announced before every launch.

Closing finale display

Come out and help set up a E-fired display and enjoy watching our hard work light up the night sky after the Member built showcase is finished.

RKM Fireworks

RKM Fireworks out of Edwardsburg Michigan will be vending on-site and delivering pre orders for the MFF. They generously offer club members a discounted price on 1.4g fireworks and are well known for their selection of proline and 1.3g fireworks. Rules and guidlines

Device limits

Rockets are limited to 3 LBS (1” I.D) with an appropriate sized color header. All salutes rockets are limited to 100g max report comp.

Shells are limited to 12” color or 3” salutes with a 100g max of report comp during open shooting. Items made for the Member Built showcase may contain up to 450g of flash for bottom shots and lampares. Metal guns are not allowed due to the no hole requirement by the PRA.

Ground salutes shall not contain over 20g of report comp. Approximately 1” I.D tube x 2.5” long.
