Thunder on the Prairie 2024

A perfect storm is brewing on the prairie and there is going to be thunder! Come on down and join us May 18th for a classic HPAA shoot full of fireworks, food, drinks, and comradery that you cant find anywhere else.

As a NEW POLICY you will be required to wear your membership badge at the shoot to help us know who is a member and who is just a guest. We have decided to do this due to the increasing number of new members. If you have not been given yours yet you can pick it up at reregistration. If you have lost your badge and need a new one we will be able to make new ones at the shoot for a $5 replacement fee. A badge is not a replacement for registration. You still need to register and get a wrist band.

As a reminder vending at the shoots is only available to members. You may be asked to show your membership badge before being allowed to purchase anything. so please remember to bring them!

Talking about vending…RKM will be delivering orders to the shoot! please reach out to them and place your orders by May 13th so they have time to pull your orders. Remember they offer us generous club pricing so support those who support us!

Come say hi to the people at the table and get checked in so we can give you a wrist band.

You can renew or join at the shoot if you want to. We strongly encourage people to renew or join in advance online. You can do so by clicking HERE.

Open Shooting

4PM CST - 10 PM CST

A must have at every club shoot!

Come see a board member before heading out to the field so we can see what you brought out to light. Everything needs to be approved before being set up…remove the tops off of your cakes.

All 1.3g or built items need to be in a ready box.

Display shells are limited to 5”

Rockets shall be limited to 1 LBS or 3/4” I.D with a 4” color header or a 3” salute header

50/50 Raffle

6PM CST

$1 gets you a ticket and all the proceeds go to the pot. Winner gets half the pot and the other half will be donated to our generous hosts.

Dinner!

6PM CST approximately

Our lovely hosts will be providing some food and drinks in the party barn.

Cleanup

10PM CST - 11PM CST

Hang around a bit and help clean up the field. We are guests here and we all should do our part to leave the field clean when we are done.
